Fooled everyone who's seen it
Had a few people round since it went in and more than one asked if it was a real gas fire. The flame genuinely has depth to it, not flat like some of the cheaper ones I looked at.

Wanted something with real presence rather than a thin strip of flame, and this delivers. Feels like a proper centrepiece rather than an afterthought.
great fire upgraded the logs myself
The fire itself is excellent : flame effect, heat, remote all work perfectly. The standard log bed is fine but a bit basic for my taste, so I picked up some extra decorative logs separately to bulk it out. Worth knowing before you buy if you want a fuller look.
Worth the extra over the cheaper options
Compared this to a couple of budget 3-sided fires and the difference in build quality is obvious.
